The Delaware Contemporary is a dynamic gathering place for the exploration of new ideas at the intersection of art, design, and technology, providing access to the artistic process that inspires us to infuse creativity into our daily lives. The DCCA presents nearly 30 compelling exhibitions annually of regionally, nationally, and internationally recognized artists, as well as innovative arts education through on-site classes, summer camps, and partnerships with community groups and schools.

To apply for the group show scheduled in 2017, you:
  • must be a current member of The Delaware Contemporary;
  • must not have exhibited in a solo show at The Delaware Contemporary in the last three years.

Please submit the following in the requested formats:
  1. Resume with complete contact information (name, address, email address, phone number/s) saved as a .DOC or .PDF
  2. Artist statement saved as a .DOC or .PDF
  3. 5 digital images (total) saved as PDF or JPEGs. Individual files should not exceed 1000 pixels on their longest side and must be set at 72 dpi. Files must be titled as Artist's last name, first initial, and then 1-5 (Ex: SmithJ1.jpeg, SmithJ2.jpeg, etc)
  4. Video art must be submitted as .MOV or .MP4, no more than 5 clips with a running time of 3 minutes each (15 collective minutes max)
  5. Image list for the corresponding .JPEGs or videos including artwork's title, date, medium, and dimensions/total running time. File must be saved as a .DOC or .PDF
All artistic media is accepted. Late entries or submissions not conforming to these guidelines will not be reviewed.

The Delaware Contemporary hosts 26 on-site artist studios. Studio artists' work is exhibited in the Elizabeth Denison Hatch Gallery. A committee reviews studio applications on a regular basis. To apply for open studio space please submit an artist statement, CV, and up to 10 images. Applicants who are approved will be notified via email.
